Individual Therapy:   One hour therapy sessions are designed around an individualized plan of treatment that addresses your child's strengths and needs.  Contact either Mary Darnall or Mary Kreis for scheduling.

We offer the following programs based on need and scheduling.

  • Handwriting/Fine Motor: These programs are based on the Handwriting Without Tears® Program that emphasizes multi-sensory learning strategies for children of all ages.  They include pre-writing, printing or cursive assistance. In addition, fine motor strength and coordination are incorporated into the programs.  www.hwtears.com  Contact Mary Darnall for additional information.

  • How Does Your Engine Run:  This self-regulation program is based on the Alert program®.  Children are introduced to the concept on high/low and just right engine and learn how to change their engine through sensory strategies.  Each child develops a “tool box” of sensory tools to keep their engines running just right.  www.alertprogram.com Contact Mary Kreis for additional information.

This setting allows for a relaxed and informal sharing of concerns, resources and questions by parents of children with sensory processing issues.  Children need not receive services through Kids Unlimited for parents and relatives to attend.  Please, adults only.  We begin at 7 pm and usually continue to 9:30 pm.  Come when you can!  Contact Mary Darnall for additional information.

  • Interactive Metronome®:  IM is an assessment and treatment tool used in therapy to improve the neurological processes of motor planning, sequencing, visual and auditory processing.   Functionally, IM can improve focus, attention, timing and bilateral coordination. This computer based program can be used intensively or as an adjunct to therapy.  www.interactivemetronome.com  Contact Mary Kreis for additional information.

  • Therapeutic Listening®:TL is an auditory intervention that uses the organized sound patterns inherent in music to impact all levels of the nervous system.  Auditory information from specially modulated Therapeutic Listening CDs provides direct input to both the vestibular and the auditory portions of the central nervous system.  TL can improve sensory modulation, attention, behavior, postural organization, speech and language.  A TL program can be set up to be used at home and school, as well as during therapy. www.vitallinks.net  Contact Mary Darnall for additional information.
