Kris Willard

Kris is a pediatric Occupational Therapist local to Oak Park who joined our team in April 2022. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with minors in Sociology and Theatre, and Master of Occupational Therapy degrees from Elmhurst University.
Prior to beginning her career as pediatric OT, Kris gained 5+ years of experience as a caretaker and house manager for families with special needs. Kris has inpatient and outpatient OT experience with adults in Acute Care/ICU, Neurology, Cardiac Care, and Oncology Rehabilitation units. Her pediatric OT experience includes inpatient NICU, therapeutic day schools, and public-school settings. She has worked with a wide variety of diagnoses including ASD, ADHD, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Sensory Processing Disorder, TBI, Developmental Delays, and Fine/Gross motor deficits. She has intervention experience in several evidence-based programs including Handwriting Without Tears, Social Thinking & Superflex, Zones of Regulation, Therapeutic Listening, strategies for Executive Function improvements and a strong neurodevelopmental background.
